Frequently asked questions
How does the free trial work?
Every church starts with 30 days of everything — every feature, including AI (up to 300 AI credits) and Church Intelligence. After 30 days you continue on the plan you chose. Paid plans: your card is entered at sign-up and first charged on day 30; cancel anytime before then and you won't be charged. Nothing you enter during the trial is ever deleted.
Is there really a free plan?
Yes. The Lydia plan is permanently free for churches up to 40 members. No credit card required. No time limit. You still get the 30-day full-access trial first, then Lydia's free features.
What happens when my church grows past the member limit?
We'll notify you before you hit your limit and make it easy to upgrade. Your data is never deleted because you grew — that would be backwards.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Monthly plans end at the next billing date. Annual plans receive a prorated refund for unused months.
Do you offer discounts for smaller or struggling churches?
Yes. Email support@churchalpha.com with your situation. We have never turned away a church over money and we don't intend to start.
What's included in the Apollos church website?
A professionally designed, mobile-responsive church website connected to your ChurchAlpha data — events, giving, sermon archive, and contact forms. Hosted by us, custom domain supported.
What is an AI credit?
Each time you use an AI feature — Sermon Assistant, engagement scoring, giving forecast, prayer AI and so on — it uses one credit. Two bigger jobs use 5 credits each: reading a bank statement, and organizing an outreach with AI. 300 credits a month is plenty for regular use on Barnabas. Need more? Add 500 credits for $10 — extra credits never expire.
